Blue Notion is one of Melbourne’s finest young a cappella groups.  Engaging and lovable, they are intent on hooking in their audience, producing amazing harmonies, and having fun!  Five voices, spanning the full range of sweet soprano to booming bass, interlock to create a stunning voices-only blend while simultaneously creating the impression of a full instrumental accompaniment.  This versatile sound can be applied to an ever-widening range of genres, and Blue Notion sings a surprising variety of jazz, folk and pop music, which is accompanied by smooth and apt choreography.

Blue Notion have been gaining recognition since their formation in 2009, receiving tuition from internationally recognised ensembles such as The Real Group and The Idea of North.  They have garnered First Place in local eisteddfods and competitions, as well as 2nd runners up in the nation-wide Singfest A Cappella Competition 2010, and 2nd Place in the 2011 Pan-Pacific Youth A Cappella Competition.   Having released an EP in late 2009, they are currently working towards their first full length studio album, which is due for release in mid 2012.

Blue Notion is available for hire, and is experienced in performing for a wide range of functions, including weddings, proposals, corporate functions, festivals, birthdays, work dinners and grand openings.
